My Week So Far

This past month have been full of stress and unexpected things. Like my great Aunty going to hospital, and the re-opening of shops in Auckland! But in this blog, I'm just going talk about my week.

This week was hectic to sum it up in one word, but first we have to talk about last Sunday. My dad went to the supermarket and we found out about a thing that the supermarket are doing, and basically if you spend thirty dollars you'll get a bit of a supermarket in bricks, (like Lego). And I got tons! We spent a whole lot on food. On Monday nothing happened... But on Tuesday I got more of the brick things. On Wednesday nothing happened. I'm writing this on Thursday morning,  so I can't comment on what happened. today I can't comprehend the future, so that's all I can say on that front so goodbye.

Tessellating Madness

Yesterday I made a tessellation and two days ago I also made a tessellation !!!!! So in this blog, I'm talking about both of them...

For the first one I was following a tutorial and was very intricate. It took me 2 hours do put three pieces together, and sadly I didn't take a photo of the first tessellation.   The second one had much better results. In one hour I had made sixteen pieces, to be fair, I may have made a simpler pattern, here it is:

Sorry that there isn't much saturation it was, bright yellow and blue.

What would the Once-ler do?

Today I've been tasked with making 5 questions about the lorax. the questions are about kaitiakatanga. (kaitiakatanga is guardianship and protection of the land) the questions were only a bit time-consuming and frustrating, here they are :

Mr Once-ler why didn’t you replant more trees?

Mr Once-ler did you have any ideas of how many trees you could cut?

Mr Once-ler why didn’t you  just sheared off most of the leaves off the trees?

Mr Once-ler why did you destroy the landscape?

Mr Once-ler why didn’t you use a more sustainable power source?

Minecraft the basic game (survival mode)

Minecraft is a world building game that is almost entirely made of blocks there are two default modes survival and creative mode today I am going to talk about survival mode basics.

Here they are:

When you first make your Minecraft world you have limited food and health.

You need to gather materials by punching trees, mining, hunting and farming.

In survival mode you also need to avoid monsters/hostile mobs these include Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers and Endermen.

When you punch a tree you make 1 log, put it in the crafting menu to make planks. Spread them around the crafting menu to make a crafting table. You will use the planks to make 1 stick and make a pic axe.

Ratios Immersion-Week 6

Yesterday my class were learning ratios.  I explained to my class that ratios are the same as scale.  Ratios (and scales) are very useful in the real world, here are some examples: cooking and building.   There are different forms of Ratios like fractions and scale.
